Our Commitment

Sherlock Digital Care Platform is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We believe that every child deserves to be safe, heard, and protected.

Safeguarding by Design

The Platform is built with safeguarding at its core:

• Role-based access ensures only authorised staff can view sensitive child data
• Safeguarding alerts are escalated immediately to senior staff and managers
• All actions are logged in a tamper-evident audit trail
• Children can raise concerns directly through the "Contact Trusted Adult" feature
• Mood check-ins and wellbeing tracking help identify children who may need support

Staff Vetting

All staff using the Platform must have undergone appropriate DBS checks and be authorised by their home's registered manager. Staff applications are reviewed and approved before access is granted.

Reporting Concerns

If you have a safeguarding concern about a child:

• Contact the child's home directly
• Contact your local authority's children's services
• In an emergency, call 999
• Contact the NSPCC helpline: 0808 800 5000

Data Protection in Safeguarding

Safeguarding concerns override normal data protection considerations. We will always share information with appropriate authorities where there is a risk to a child's safety, in line with Working Together to Safeguard Children (2023).
